AEW Dynamite Preview: Undisputed Elite Return!

It has been a long time since we’ve seen Adam Cole, Kyle O’Reilly and Bobby Fish in a AEW ring, but this Wednesday, they make their return. Very interesting timing as well for this return, as AEW just announced the introduction of the new trios titles. This will be a big moment, but we also have a ton of matches announced as well. Chris Jericho puts his 1# contenders match on the line against BCC member, a big women’s tag team match, Gunn Club take on the Acclaimed in a dumpster match and more!

Chris Jericho vs Wheeler Yuta

This is going to be a very interesting match up. Knowing AEW, there is going to be a screwy finish here. Chris Jericho now has the most over booked matches ( at least since Cody left), and if he’s going to lose, it’ll be someone costing him. And the reason you want a screwy finish if Wheeler Yuta is going to lose, because I hate seeing  champions pinned.

It would be pretty cool to see Wheeler Yuta take on Jon Moxley for the AEW title, but I don’t think Chris Jericho will be losing in this match. Daniel Garcia claims that Yuta’s win against him wasn’t impressive and it was lucky, so I think it’s Garcia who causes the distraction to give Jericho the win.

The Acclaimed vs Gunn Club – Dumpster Match

This is a cool throwback to another dumpster match around 25 years ago. The only dumpster match I can remember seeing in my life involved Billy Gunn. So it’s pretty awesome that all these years later, his sons are in the first ever AEW dumpster match.

The Acclaimed have really exploded since teaming with the Gunn Club, and now have taken it to another level as faces. I think it would be a big mis step if the Gunn Club were to win here. I think the Acclaimed should get their big win, and maybe put themselves in contention for a tag team title match.

Other announced matches have Matt Hardy taking on Christian Cage. Orange Cassidy is in singles action against Jay Lethal. We hear from Powerhouse Hobbs after he turned on Ricky Starks last week. And we have Thunderstorm taking on Britt Baker and Jamie Hayter.

All this and so much more can be seen on TBS (TSN in Canada) every Wednesday night at 8PM EST.
