It is another huge night for AEW as it’s another instalment of Fight for the Fallen. It’s also another huge night because it’s the return from injury for Bryan Danielson. That in itself is a big deal, now add in three title matches, and you know you have a banging card. It looks like we’re in for another great show.
Jon Moxley (C) vs Rush – Interim AEW Title Match
This is a really cool match. A little out of the blue, but cool none the less. Rush is fresh off of a big winner against his brother, Dragon Lee, at Death before Dishonor last weekend. And he’s start in AEW has been above average. Is he the most deserving man on the roster of this title shot? Maybe not, but he is a great wrestler, and I think this will be a great match.
Jon Moxley has been dominant since becoming the interim AEW champion. Actually he’s been on a war path since the creation of BCC, and he looks to add yet another win to his tally in this big time match up. I think Moxley will be victorious here, as AEW look to give Moxley a few defences before CM Punk gets his title run.
Bryan Danielson vs Daniel Garcia
This is a technical wrestling fans dream match. This puts one of the best technical wrestlers in the world in Bryan Danielson, up against one the fastest rising technical stars in the wrestling world in Daniel Garcia. This is a match that I’m sure is going to get plenty of time, and these two will undoubtably deliver.
This will be Danielson’s first match since Anarchy in the Arena, and I’m hoping that everything goes will for him after his injury scare in that match. I predict a win for Bryan Danielson, and I hope that the BCC and the JAS are ready to move on. Unless it’s teased that Garcia is ready to join BCC, in that case I’m all in for that!
Thunder Rose (C) vs Miyu Yamashita – AEW Women’s Title Match
This match is a huge deal. Miyu Yamashita is arguably the best women wrestlers in the world right now, and she gets to introduce herself to North America in a big way. Yamashita earned this shot by actually beating Thunder Rosa in Japan a few weeks ago, and now gets her shot at the title.
I’m fairly sure Rosa will get her win back, but it would be a ballsy move for Tony Khan to give the belt to Yamashita. We’ve already seen the AEW crowd immediately gravitate to Konosuke Takeshita, and I think they could have the same thing on their hands with Yamashita.
We also have the very unique match of FTW champion Ricky Starks putting his title on the line against Danhausen, and Swerve Strickland takes on Tony Nese in singles action.
All this and so much more can be seen on TBS (TSN in Canada) every Wednesday night at 8PM EST.
