AEW Dynamite Preview: Jon Moxley’s First Interim Title Defence!

In typical AEW fashion, there is no slowing down after last Friday’s Royal Rampage. On this episode of Dynamite, we’re getting two big title defences, a new tag team may have formed in the women’s division, we’ll find out if a team in the men’s division is back on the same page, and more.

Jon Moxley (C) vs Brodie King – Interim AEW Title Match

It’s been just over a week since Jon Moxley defeated the Ace of NJPW Hiroshi Tanahashi in the main event of Forbidden Door, and only a week since Blood and Guts, but the tough schedule continues for Jon Moxley on this Dynamite.

Jon Moxley will be defending his newly won title against the powerhouse of the House of Black Brody King. King earned his shot by winning the Royal Rampage last Friday, and this will be his first shot at a title in AEW.

I think this match will be very hard hitting, as both these guys have bruising styles. I expect Jon Moxley to get through the challenge on Brody King and get his first title defence of the interim belt.

Scorpio Sky (C) vs Wardlow – TNT Title Street Fight

It looks like Scorpio Sky is finally 100% again, and he will be defending his TNT title against one of the biggest threats on the AEW roster, Wardlow

The TNT title has been flip flopping back and fourth in between Sammy Guevara and Scorpio Sky over the last couple months, and I feel it’s hurt the title prestige a little bit. If Wardlow can win it here, I think AEW can build this title back up again.

We’ll have to watch out for the street fight stipulations, as I’m sure there will be some American Top Team interference, but I’m still hoping Wardlow will leave Dynamite as the new TNT champion.

Thunderstorm vs Nyla Rose & Marina Shafir

This will be the first time we see Toni Storm and the AEW women’s champion, Thunder Rosa team up to take on Nyla Rose and Marina Shafir.

It’s interesting to see Storm and Rosa working together, because they just had a match against each other at Forbidden Door, so we’ll see how they get along.

It also does seem that AEW are putting together a few women’s tag teams at the moment, so could we be seeing a women’s tag division starting up?

Also announced for this show is, Keith Lee and Swerve Strickland taking on the Butcher and the Blade, and we are also going to get an appearance from Christian Cage and Luchasaurus.

All this and so much more can be seen on TBS (TSN in Canada) every Wednesday night at 8PM EST.
