AEW Dynamite Preview: Another Stacked Road Rager!

This week’s edition of Dynamite is lining up like a PPV quality match card. The three announced matches so far are all huge ones, with a hair vs hair match leading the way. We also  Wardlow who is set to take on 20 men, and we have another qualifying match for the All Atlantic title.

Chris Jericho vs Ortiz – Hair vs Hair

So it looks like we’ll be continuing the feud between BCC and Eddie Kingston against the JAS at least until they have their Blood and Guts match, and this match here will be filler until then.

It’s rare that a hair vs hair match is not the big blow off a rivalry, but here we are. I’m hoping that Chris Jericho loses this match, because I feel he’ll do a great job over selling the loss of his hair, wear dumb wigs or masks, and it should be hilarious.

Also a win for Ortiz in this spot would be a huge deal for him.

Wardlow vs 20 Security Guards

This is the right call by AEW. Two weeks ago, it looked like Wardlow was going to be put in a feud with Smart Mark Sterling, and it had a lot of people upset. Wardlow has the most momentum he’s had in his career, so he should be doing something more meaningful. Luckily, we have this match to put the whole Sterling lawsuit behind him…

Wardlow will win here, and if it’s done properly, it will make him look like a huge deal. After the match, I hope we get a date for Wardlow’s title match with Scorpio Sky.

Miro vs Ethan Page – All Atlantic Championship Qualifying Match

This is an absolutely stacked mini tournament for the four finalist that will have a match at Forbidden Door. We had PAC already qualify in a fantastic match against Buddy Matthews last week, and this week we get Miro taking on Ethan Page.

I think this will be a good match, but I can only see one winner here. Miro made his big return a few weeks ago and I think he’ll take this match rather easily.

And Jay White became the new IWGP champion over the weekend when he beat Kazuchika Okada, so we’ll see if Hangman Page wants the belt or if he still wants to challenge Okada.

All this and so much more can be seen on TBS (TSN in Canada) every Wednesday night at 8PM EST.
