One of the most popular wrestlers of the last few decades, Jeff Hardy, recently joined All Elite Wrestling, and has gone right into a story line with his brother Matt, Sting and Darby Allin. On this episode of Dynamite, these four will be teaming together for the first time. We also have another duo making their debut as a team, and we’ll hear from MJF.
The Hardys, Darby Allin & Sting vs Private Party, the Butcher & the Blade – 8-Man Tornado Tag
This should be an absolutely crazy match. Tornado tag matches are usually all over the place, and I can almost guarantee that we’ll see Sting make his way into the crowd at one point. This is a feud that has come together after the AFO started a beat down on Matt Hardy, that saw Jeff Hardy make his debut, and the save. I feel like these matches will lead to the Hardys, Sting and Darby Allin being victorious in a few matches before they go their separate ways.
The interesting thing here will be to see what happens after this feud. A match that many people fantasy booked when AEW first started, was Jeff Hardy vs Darby Allin, thinking we’d never really have a chance to see that match. But in 2022, anything is possible, and now that match is on the table. Also the last time Jeff Hardy and Sting faced off, it was a night to forget for both men. AEW have a chance leave a more positive feel to that match up now.
Even though the AFO have a numbers advantage, I can’t see them winning here, and I predict that Sting, Darby and the Hardys will be the winners.
Chris Jericho & Daniel Garcia vs John Silver & Alex Reynolds
When Chris Jericho cut his amazing promo last week, he reinvented himself once again, this time as the “sports entertainer”. Obviously, it got massive heat from the AEW crowd, and almost more importantly, the group makes sense. All the guys in the JAS kind of owe Jericho for some of their success. But it was surprising to see Daniel Garcia come out and say “my name is Daniel Garcia, and I’m a sports entertainer” as he is one of the most talented technical wrestlers on the roster.
This looks like a fun group to follow, and I can’t wait to see how Jericho leads this group in the future. The first task is a tag match against John Silver and Alex Reynolds. The Dark Order members clearly have more experience tagging together, but I do see them coming out on the losing end in this match.
It’ll be interesting to see if there is a change in the wrestling style of Daniel Garcia, now being a sports entertainer and all. In any case, I see him and Chris Jericho notching one in the win column here.
As of writing, these are the only two announced matches, but will also hear from MJF. Will he allow Wardlow out of his contract? Or will MJF try yo make Wardlow’s life a living hell.
All this and so much more can be seen on TBS (TSN in Canada) every Wednesday night at 8PM EST.
