Habs Lose Game 1. Cole Caufield Scores His First Goal in the NHL Playoffs

Some highs and lows after tonight’s game. Also, you’d be surprised on how focused you can be on the game when you don’t have your phone to distract you. I left my phone in my room to spend some quality time with my lady and we managed to watch the Habs lose Game 1 and to see Caufield’s first ever goal in the playoffs. Habs lose Game 1 in their series, vs Vegas, 4-1.

Carey Price faced 30+ shots and allowed four. If you look at that stat line then it’s very understandable for you to see that he had a bad game and make all the excuses in the world. But the Habs net minder focused his energy making clutch saves all night.

The Vegas Golden Knights have the luxury of having full capacity crowd that created one of the best atmospheres I’ve ever seen. There was a woman in her wedding dress for Gretzky’s sake. The Knight no only have a sick atmosphere but the reason why this Habs fan thinks the Knights will win the series is simply because of depth. Vegas rolls four lines and all four lines produce. Also, the defensive unit has contributed more offense than the forwards. Martinez blocking pucks, Theodore showing everyone why he’s the future of this league and add Marc-Andre Fleury playing well.

The Habs could not do anything they wanted to do. It’s almost as of Vegas saw the gameplan that the Habs employed vs the Leafs and decided to use it on the Habs. If that was the case then Head Coach Pete Deboer did fantastic job in coaching tonight.

Game 2 is in Vegas then the Habs will be able to host in front of 2500 fans.
