The Laval Rocket had the pleasure of dressing Carey Price and Brendan Gallagher tonight in their match against the Toronto Marlies. Price and Gallagher are coming off of injuries so the Habs sent the two Habs leaders and stars to Laval for a tune up game.
The Toronto Marlies win 2-0 in a tight game that saw the Habs netminder allow the first two shots he faced then stopping the next thirteen. His counterpart, on the other had, faced and shut down 39 shots. Michael Hutchison made sure that his team end the season strong with an excellent shutout win.
Brendan Gallagher finished the night with 4 penalty minutes, 2 shots and a -1 on the scoresheet. Gallagher was on the 2nd line with a limited role but sill showed the rest of the team why he is one of the hardest working players in the NHL.
The Habs play Game 1 vs North Division Champions Toronto Maple Leafs. This is the first time the Habs and Leafs faceoff in the playoffs since 1978. WHo would’ve thought that the Habs and Leafs hadn’t met that often in the playoffs. You would think, that with the amount their fans talk bad about eachother that they faced off every year.
