If you’re a casual UFC fan you probably won’t recognize most of the fighters on this card but there are a few doozies (or doosies not sure which one is the proper spelling). Again, this card screams “last fight deals” for most of these fighters. Tai Tuivasa kicks off the maincard but he’s 2-3 in his last five fights, sandwiching a three fight losing streak with wins vs Andrei Arlovksi and Stefan Struve. Is Kevin Holland the most active UFC fighter of all time? He’s 8-1 in the UFC since winning in Dana White’s Contender Series. Max Griffin is fighting also! He’s one of the most exciting fighters in the company. AT 16-8 Griffin is a proven brawler.
Tai Tuivasa vs Harry Hunsucker
Hunsucker makes his UFC debut vs Tuivasa. AT 7-3 and Hunsucker isn’t someone that I had ever heard of so I checked him out. Hunsucker comes from Hard Rock MMA where, and no disrespect to the gentleman in that promotion, the talent isn’t great. Tuivasa has KO power, speed and is coming off a KO win vs Stefan Struve. There aren’t any special odds here, it’s just easy money. Look for a 1st or 2nd round KO
Tuivasa to win is -475 or the Over on 1.5 rounds pays +215
Gregor Gillespie vs Brad Riddell
Huuuuuuuge fan of Gillespie and it’s too bad he got caught by that nasty head kick from Kevin Lee in November 2019. Gillespie did the smart thing, he didn’t rush back and made sure that he’s fully recovered from that hit. Gillespie is a fantastic wrestler with KO power but he has a tough task vs Brad Riddell from New Zealand. Riddell is 3-0 in the UFC and has a lot of potential. He’s a grinder with excellent strking. I think Gregor gets the win on home soil and and puts his name back on the contender watch list.
Fight going the distance +120 or Gillespie by Decision is +265
Kevin Holland vs Derek Brunson
Two big reason why this fight will be epic. 1- Brunson loses then we never have to see him in the uFC again acting like he’s a legit contender anymore. 2- Holland wins and we get some soundbytes and potentially see him fight in the top 5 fighter next. I hope Holland wins and I think he will. Holland is on the rise and no disrespect to Brunson, who was Holland 5 years ago, but he’s not the fighter that we saw TKO Bobby Whittaker in 2016. Brunson is coming a 3 fight win streak and this fight could put his name in the top 5 again, currently at#7. I think Holland takes this one… how? I’m not sure. Here are the early bets that I like.
Brunson by decision +360, Holland by TKO or KO +125
