Last week I covered the NHL gave my picks on the UFC as well. I went 3-2 in the NHL because the Habs suck and 1-2 in the UFC. chose the winners in Zahabi and Lewis but didn’t pick the right result. I love doing these weekly articles because it makes me justify my bad bets as good ones. It’s also made me a better gambler. I’ll focus on the NBA this week and add a few picks in the UFC this weekend at the bottom.
Indiana Pacers vs New York Knicks
This game is a borderline pick em’ with the Pacers being favoured by 1. The Pacers are exactly where they usually are and that’s down the middle and at .500. The biggest robbery of the league was that Doma Sabonis didn’t make the all-star team. I feel like this is a huge statement game for the Pacers after losing to the Warriors. The Knicks at 16-17 have something to prove as well. I still like the Pacers in this one. The Pacers are averaging 7 more points for then the Knicks but also average more points against. Barn Burner and I’m taking the over.
Pacers Alt. Spread -4 pasy +140
Over 216.5 – pays -110
Orland Magic vs Utah Jazz
Utah is the best team in the league according to their record at 26-6. They have the luck of facing the bottom basement Orlando Magic (13-20) on a Saturday night. The Magic are 3-2 in their last 5 having lost their last two to the Nets and the Pistons. The Jazz have a potential MVP Candidate with something to prove in Donovan Mitchel averaging over 24 points and over 5 assists per game. I will be taking Orlando’s odds though.
Magic Alt. Spread +8 pays +130
Jazz First half winning margin 10-12 pays +650

Alexis Davis vs Sabina Mazo — Davis by Decision pays +180
Cyril Gane vs Jairzinho Rozernstruik — Gane by TKO/KO pays +160
Pedro Munhoz vs Jimmie Rivera — Munhoz by TKO/KO pays +500
