This afternoon Cf Montréal put their new colours on show.
Both the Home and Away kits were released and are available to purchase on the teams website.
Somehow the new Away kit is IDENTICAL to last year’s away kit, minus the new crest, or better yet, logo.
This is a first for me, to see a jersey from last season being recycled, vaguely modified and then re-released as a brand new kit!
Marketing at its finest!
Have a good look at last season’s Away kit first, before seeing the new ones further below.

To be clarify things; I’m not complaining.
I like they grey basic kit, it comes off crisp and very clean. However it’s a bit shocking that we have been presented what is basically all but the same as last year’s shirt.
I do wonder if the shade of grey is slightly different in person, but for now I wouldn’t have a clue.
From a consumer’s perspective, this reminds me of EA Sports releasing the EXACT SAME version of Fifa year in and year out, with minor changes.
Lucky I switched to Pes in 2020. I was kind of forced to if I wanted to play as Juventus and not Piedmont Calcio. To be honest it was a good change, I find the gameplay is more realistic, the ball moves in a very unpredictable way on the pitch, but this is another story for another day.
Check out the Away kit I was speaking about, again, similar but still very pleasant.

On the bright side, or cool side, however you want to lay the metaphors down: The new Home kit is quite pleasing on the eyes!

Brilliant!
Our Home jersey is one creative kit that is very satisfying in my opinion. Cf Montréal’s logo embedded within the jersey is what I enjoy the most.
This type of design is becoming very popular within the Soccer world, notably with Manchester City, who has been putting out embedded kits for the last several years – and ours is better.
You can’t go wrong with Black, and the Blue outline just highlights everything.
The only downfall I can find is the size of the BMO logo, it’s a bit too big – and that’s ‘NOT what she said’, this time. I personally think a smaller rectangular type of BMO logo, in the grey would look stellar.
With the new MLS season kicking off at the beginning of April, it won’t be long until we see our team in their new, and old colours.
Weighing both kits together, I would purchase the black Home one, what would you choose?
