Pop’s Picks Week 16: Christmas Picks

Based on the way the Steelers were playing; the Bengals had a good chance of pulling off an upset and they did. This week I am calling for two upsets. The Texans aren’t playing good football despite their talent, I don’t see any fight in them; on the other hand, I see plenty of fight in the Bengals. The Ravens are a great team but have had some lapses this year in losing five games. The Giants have some good players but are not a great team with many more upgrades yet to be made. The coaching staff of Giants is getting some pretty good football out of his team. I expect that this will continue on Sunday and keep their slim playoff hopes alive. After losing two games, I think the team is ready to win again, even against the Ravens.

Have a great weekend of football starting on Christmas Day!

@Saints
7Vikings

Brees is back. Vikings can’t seem to find ways to win. Saints will win but won’t cover in the comfortable confines of their domed stadium.
Vikings lead series 23-12.

Bucs
9@Lions
Bucs will win and cover against the hapless Lions as they are just waiting for yet another losing season to be etched in the record book.
Lions lead series 31-28.

@Cardinals

4.5Niners

Key injuries Nick Bosa and Jimmy Garoppolo have totally change the dynamics of the team. Niners just missing too many pieces on offense and defense.  They won’t be able to contain Kyler Murray. The Cardinals will win and cover.
Niners lead series 31-27.

@Dolphins

2.5RaidersDolphins are red hot and winning. The Raiders beat the Chiefs twice but are now fading fast into the Vegas sunset. Dolphins will win and cover.
Raiders lead series 20-18-1.

@Chiefs
10.5Falcons

Falcons can’t win games they are in control of until the last minutes; let alone upset a powerhouse team like the Chiefs. Chiefs win but won’t cover.
Chiefs lead series 6-3.

Browns
9.5@Jets
Will the Jets make it two in a row and do what their Big apple rivals couldn’t do?  No that won’t happen. I am taking the Browns win and cover.

Browns lead Jets series 15-12.

Colts1.5@SteelersThe Steelers started the week as a two point favorite and are closing 1.5 point underdog. The Colts are going to beat and cover against this overrated, tired, and injured team.

Steelers lead series 25-6.

ColtsColts
@WFT2.5PanthersThe Panthers put a good fight against the Packers. The WFT has a very solid defense. Panthers have nothing to lose …. so they will win.
WFT lead series 9-6

Bears
7.5@Jaguars
 I trust the Bears to beat the Jaguars and help them get the number one draft choice.
Bears lead series 4-3.

Ravens
11.5Giants

It will be a tall task for this Giants team to beat the Ravens, but they can, they might and they will. The Giants pull another upset.
Ravens lead series 4-2.

GiantsGiants
@Texans9BengalsThe Texans can’t seem to beat anyone, starting from the first game of the season it has been a year of regression. A wasted year of DeShaun Watson…terrible. Bengals have a shot at beating them and will. Texans lead series 18-4.

@Chargers

3Broncos

In the battle of young quarterbacks, the Chargers have a gem in Justin Hebert. I’m picking the Chargers. Bottom line; Hebert will just be better than Drew Lock.
Broncos lead series 69-52-1.

ChargersChargers
Eagles1.5@CowboysThe Cowboys have the most talented offense in the NFC East. Jalen Hurts presents an interesting challenge. I think the Eagles will outscore the Cowboys and make the NFC East the most interesting division playoff race.
Cowboys lead series 69-54.

EaglesEagles
@Seahawks2RamsThe Rams will redeem themselves from their loss to the Jets. Aaron Donald will keep the Seahawks’ offense in check.
Seahawks lead series 24-21.

RamsRams
@Packers3.5TitansThe Titans have a very good ground game, but the Packers have a better passing game. Aaron Rogers continues his 2020 revenge victory tour.
Titans Series tied 7-5.

Bills7@Patriots Imagine the Bills sweeping the Patriots. It will happen this year as the Bills win and cover.
