Pop’s Picks Week 12: Thanksgiving Picks

It seems that the NFC East is beginning a remediation process with the WFT and the Cowboys beating teams outside the division. It feels like we are at the beginning of the season with the division up for grabs, I think the battered and disrespected NFC East is going to win more than it losses.

I think Justin Hebert is going to be an excellent franchise quarterback. Two years ago he was heavily scouted by the New York Giants and was going to be taken by them if he came out for the draft. Gettleman could have waited another year. I like Daniel Jones and I hope that he continues to make progress and not make the Giants regret their decision. I was surprised in this year’s draft, when Hebert came gift-wrapped to the Chargers, recalling that the Giants had to pay king’s ransom to get Eli Manning. The two super bowls were worth the price.

Again I thought I had the NFL figured out and promptly almost laid a 0-14 egg against the spread. I was rescued by the Rams, Raiders, and the Cowboys to finish 3-11. My straight up picks didn’t fare much better at 6-8.

Great football this weekend starts with Thanksgiving games today…enjoy!

Texans3@LionsTexans made the Patriots look ordinary at home. Lions are not up to beating anybody. Texans will win and cover.
Texans lead series 3-1.

@Cowboys2.5WFTBoth the Cowboys and the WFT played their best game of the season last week. Cowboys QB Dalton sustained a concussion last time and the Cowboys lost to the WFT. Maybe this will fire up the Cowboys to make it two wins in a row. Cowboys win and cover Cowboys lead series 73-46-2.
What? Have the Ravens, become ordinary? Maybe, I haven’t been impressed with them lately. The Steelers 10-0 are trying to head in Dolphins 1972 territory with an undefeated season. They, however, will be perfect for one more week.
Steelers lead series 29-24.

3@FalconsThe Raiders played the Chiefs tough and lost a game they could have won. The Falcons are better than their record, but they manage to find ways to lose. They won’t have to this time. The Raiders will beat them soundly.  The Series is tied 7-7
@Bills5.5ChargersAlthough I like what Justin Hebert brings to the Chargers, I don’t think they are ready to beat a team of this caliber on the road. Chargers lead series 25-12-2.
I don’t know how to pick when the Giants are favored. Bengals don’t have Mixon and Burrows. The Giants will win and cover.
Bengals lead series 6-4.

@Colts3TitansCan you win with an ancient side-armed throwing QB? Imagine if they would have moved up in the draft and taken Justin Hebert. Colts win a close one.

Colts lead series 35-17.

@Vikings3.5PanthersJust when the Vikings seemed to be going in the right direction, Kirk Cousins and the rest of the offence show their limitations. Panther’s just blanked the Lions and will just keep on rolling to another win.
Vikings lead series 8-6.

2.5@PatriotsBoth teams coming off losses, the Patriots were exposed as being a beatable team. Cardinals still trying to become a top tier team. Hail Mary throwing Murray will lead his team to victory.
Series tied 7-7

Dolphins imploded against the Broncos last week. Jets came close to beating the Chargers. Is this the game that will give the Jets may be their only win? No, Jets will lose to the Dolphins.
Jets lead series 55-54-1

The Browns will win this game, but it won’t be easy, Jaguars will battle and lose.
Jaguars lead series 12-5

Saints6@BroncosThe Saint’s offence propelled by Tysom Hill is going to be difficult for the Broncos to content with. On the other hand, the Broncos offence isn’t going anywhere against the Saint’s defence. Saints will win in Mile High.
Broncos lead series 9-2

@Rams6.5NinersThe Rams are going to seriously beat on their wounded opponent. Niners lead series 72-67-3
Chiefs3.5@BucsLooking forward to seeing the Bucs defence test Mahomes. Maybe JPP can pick off another pass and score this time. This will be a close game that the Chiefs will win.
Bucs lead series 7-5

@Packers8.5BearsAnother team that could have traded to take an available franchise QB named Justin Hebert. Packers will win and cover.
Packers lead 99-95-6

Seahawks5.5@EaglesWill the under-performing Eagles beat these other birds. It will be close but the Seahawks will fly out of Philly with a win.
Seahawks lead series 11-7
