“You’re in trouble.” Ya LeBron, you will be if you don’t start taking this Heat team more seriously. The shorthanded Miami Heat came away with the upset in game 3 to get their first win of the NBA Finals. What a game it was! The Heat controlled the tempo in the first half and took a 4 point lead heading into the third quarter. When the Lakers took the lead in the second half, I was quite worried. Miami then settled down and knocked down some clutch 3s. Olynyk putting the Heat up 3 and then Herro extending the lead to 6. Speaking of Herro, how cool was that face he made after his and-1? Very cool.

He struggled throughout the game, but didn’t shy away from taking big shots… which is why he is Tyler Herro. Kelly Olynyk had a solid game, scoring 17 points on 5 of 9 shooting. Bam is questionable heading into tonight’s pivotal game 4. If he can’t go, I like Leonard taking his spot in the starting lineup, but Olynyk getting more minutes by the end of the game.
All this talk about Herro and Olynyk is great, but game 3 was all about Jimmy Butler. He played fearlessly and put the Heat on his back. He has to continue being aggressive. Whenever he had a defender other than LeBron or AD on him, I would scream “take him Jimmy, take him!” at the TV. There were times last game where he had a layup and kicked it out to another player. That’s gotta stop. Butler is gonna have to start being a little more selfish. I know he’s a team guy, but he’s Miami’s best player and needs to shoot more when given the opportunity.
Davis’ foul trouble helped the Heat tremendously. He didn’t get as many minutes as he wanted and Miami took advantage. Like Charles Barkley said, if LeBron and Davis don’t play great, the Lakers aren’t that good of a team. So, in order for the Lakers to rebound in game 4, they need 50+ points combined from their 2 superstars. Danny Green has gotta be better. Whenever he shoots I start celebrating. He is 4 of 20 from 3 point range this series. He’s a good shooter and has had his fair share of slumps before, but the Lakers need him now.

*** Little bit a breaking news as it looks like Bam Adebayo plans on playing tonight. Great news for the Heat. Regardless, I still think Olynyk has to continue to get good minutes. The Lakers are favoured by 7.5 points tonight. I think it’ll be a close game and I expect the Heat to cover that point spread. We all know how big this game is. The Lakers will either be up 3-1 or the series will be even up at 2! Jimmy and LeBron will both lead their teams in scoring tonight, and as the expression goes….it’ll be a bar fight.
