It’s official… We’re fucked. 10 players have announced that they will be opting out of the 2020 season due to COVID-19. Amongst those names only two can be considered household names. The rest are lesser known players in the NFL. I respect their decision to keep their families safe, but I’m not happy about it.
Patriots LB Dont’a Hightower, Patriots RB Brandon Bolden, Patriots OT Marcus Cannon, Patriots FB Danny Vitale, Patriots G Najee Toran, Washington DL Calen Brantley, Cowboys CB Maurice Canady, Seahawks G Chance Warmack, Ravens WR/KR De’Anthony Thomas, Chiefs G Laurent Duvernay-Tardif.
In the example of Chiefs G Laurent Duvernay-Tardif, he works directly on the front lines of this disease. Tardif is a certified Doctor. He practices medicine in Montreal and works directly with COVID cases. SO I can understand that factor and we thank Laurent for putting his life on the line to save our lives. Dont’a Hightower decided to stay home and keep his wife and newborn safe. I can respect that as well.
This article is dogshit. A player shouldn’t risk their lives for your entertainment. Maybe find a new job you’re an awful writer
