1. Dolphins take a chance on Tua.
There were a ton of rumours stating the Dolphins might prefer Herbert, but we know that was all smokescreen. Really happy they showed some guts and went with the guy they wanted despite the injury concerns.
2. The Dallas Cowboys got the steal of the draft in CeeDee Lamb.
How he was still available at the 17 spot shocks me. The Cowboys should be fun to watch with the Trio of Cooper, Gallup, and Lamb. Bonus note, looks like someone’s getting a prenup!
3. Dave Gettlemen with a very uninspired draft pick.
Did the Giants know something about Andrew Thomas that we didn’t? Don’t get me wrong, he’s a solid pick, but I don’t think he’s worthy of the fourth pick of the draft. That being said, did anyone expect anything different
4. Packers draft a… QB?
Not only did the Packers not get a new weapon for Rodgers, but they drafted a QB… This team is desperate to add wide receiver depth and I thought they were going to add one here. They must be thinking of getting a wide receiver in round 2 with how deep the receiver class is. However, this selection is a strange one, why do the Packers constantly work against Rodgers? This is Brett Hundley all over again.
5. Chiefs add another weapon for Mahomes!
The first running back taken was none other than Clyde Edwards-Helaire. I don’t think it’s because he was the best, but more because he fit the Chiefs more than the other backs. You gotta believe Swift, Taylor, and Dobbins will all be taken early to middle of the second round.
